The Skye 500 has to be Vango’s best value tent for the money: the space and sleeping capacity that the Skye offers is unlike anything else in their range. The new CLR version takes that concept to the next level by using single use plastics to make the majority of the tent, so what was once waste has now been reborn into something perfect for weekend use or the odd festival. Not only is the main part of the tent been made from Vango’s Earth fabric, but they have also managed to utilise offcuts and surplus fabric to decrease the amount of wastage. Being small and compact is what the Skye CLR is all about. Fibreglass poles give a good level of stability while the Nightfall bedroom should lead to a great night’s sleep.

The tent has a lantern hanging point and additional ventilation at the front of the tent to increase airflow and help reduce condensation. The outer tent pitches first to make it quick and simple to pitch. The pack size can also be split if you wished to carry it to a festival or a camping trip. A large storage front section can be used for storing your bags in or on the days when the weather is miserable it is ideal for a couple of chairs to keep you out of the rain. By doing this it also helps you to maximise your space in the bedroom compartment and not to have all of your kit on top of you while you sleep. A Fast pack tent Bag means getting it back into its bag is a dream and also has compression straps to keep the pack size as small as it can be. The 70D Protex® Zero material is lightweight, strong and waterproof to 3000mm HH.
